The General Medicine Department provides multidisciplinary care to patients with complex medical problems. It takes in the following disciplines:
- General medicine;
- General internal medicine;
- Respiratory medicine;
- Gastroenterology;
- Hematology;
- Rheumatology;
- Neurology;
- Endocrinology;
- Cardiology;
- Microbiology.
Unit 4C Medicine
The unit has 27 general medicine beds. The unit houses general medicine and internal medicine patients with various medical problems.
Visiting Hours
Medical, surgical and coronary intensive care
The Medical Intensive Care Unit has eight beds and the Coronary Intensive Care Unit has six. The ICU units care for patients whose health problems are severe enough to endanger their lives. The intensive care team includes:
- Specialist physicians;
- Nursing staff;
- Physiotherapists;
- Occupational therapists;
- Respiratory therapists;
- Social workers;
- Dietitians;
- Pharmacists;
- Spiritual care staff.
Visiting
- Visiting hours are 10 minutes per hour.
- Only family members and loved ones can visit patients.
