Discover an exciting new independent living centre: your home. Freedom made possible thanks to our personal emergency reporting system.
The personal emergency reporting system
You can live in the comfort of your own home independently, safely, and worry-free. It is not always possible but, for a lot of people, this dream can become reality thanks to SOS Péninsule. Our system is both simple and sophisticated and allows people to live the lifestyle they choose.
How does the system work?
The alarm system connects to your residential phone line (or via a cellular module if you do not have a residential telephone) and automatically places a call if you need help, at any time, day or night.
The system relies on a console that is placed on a bedside table. During a power outage, continuous protection is ensured by a long-life back-up battery.
The system comes with a very versatile emergency transmitter that you must keep within reach at all times. The transmitter is completely water-resistant, so you can even wear it in the shower. A visual (red light) or audible (beep) indicator confirms that the signal was sent to the console.
Just press a button to call for help!
It couldn't be any easier or more reliable to activate the system: you keep a wireless transmitter with you at all times. In case of an emergency, you just need to press the alarm button (which works just like a remote) to activate the console that automatically contacts the emergency monitoring centre, which is staffed 24 hours a day by qualified bilingual employees. When someone answers your call, they then advise the people you selected in advance (family members, friends, or appropriate emergency personnel) to respond to your specific situation.
Do you require additional protection?
If you worry about not being able to press the button in case of a fall or medical emergency, we also offer an optional wireless transmitter that detects* if you fall. In that case, the transmitter will automatically activate the console to contact the emergency monitoring centre. Automatic fall detection brings you peace of mind and more.
