Visits temporarily suspended at the Transitional Care Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital
Campbellton, March 13, 2015 – The management of Campbellton Regional Hospital informs the public that visits are suspended at the Transitional Care Unit, located on the 4th floor. This situation is due to a number of patients experiencing gastroenteritis symptoms. The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
The management is asking for the public’s cooperation to avoid the spread of gastroenteritis symptoms.
As a precaution, citizens visiting patients in other units are asked to do the following:
- Thoroughly wash their hands with soap and water or rubbing hands together with an alcohol-based gel for at least 15 seconds, this upon entering the hospital and upon leaving the patient’s room;
- Proceed directly to their home upon leaving the hospital;
- Avoid visiting patients if they have gastroenteritis or flu symptoms.
The management of Campbellton Regional Hospital apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
