Improved services at the Chaleur Regional Hospital thanks to the Foundation
Bathurst, September 26, 2013 – The Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation presented a cheque to Vitalité Health Network in the amount of $300,000.
The money was collected through various fundraising activities held as part of the 2013 annual campaign of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation. With the Foundation’s donation, Vitalité Health Network was able to purchase equipment for the hospital’s Surgical Suite.
“We are very grateful to the Foundation and its many volunteers for their efforts as well as to people in the Chaleur area for their generosity. Residents of the Chaleur region, Acadian Peninsula, and surrounding areas proudly showed us, yet again, their commitment to improve the quality of health care services,” stated Stéphane Legacy, Chief of Operations for the Acadie-Bathurst Zone.
The 2013 annual campaign’s overall fundraising target had been set at $300,000. The final result announced at the unveiling is $304 414. “I take this opportunity to publicly thank our partners for their generosity, as well as the exemplary work of our volunteers under the leadership of Dr John Leblanc. It is thanks to them that we are able to offer financial support towards the improvement of health care services at our regional hospital,” stated Jean Guy Robichaud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation.
